An appeal to the Polish Nikon Service

Nikon gear users love and respect the equipment they own. It lets them to spend time on their hobby, it is also very often used as a main work tool.
For a number of reasons people passionate about photography and professional photographers have either changed their cameras to Nikon’s from other systems or have been loyal since the very beginning. However, there is a little sting in this whole perfect environment, and it starts to be more and more awkward. Often somewhere in the Internet, either on forums or mailing groups, the Polish Nikon Service is mentioned. It does not come up to people’s expectations.

People have written about it many times, some of them were disappointed, others were really angry. People who created PolishNikonService.com website have decided to make a step. They have created a webpage which is a collection of positive and negative feedback that users want to share after they had dealt with the Polish Nikon Service. Now it is more than only a webpage. It is an appeal! It is directed to the Polish service and signed by mentioned Nikon gear users.
We want our main request to be granted: we want quick and efficient repairs, we want the service to treat its customers in the same way they treat Nikon as a brand, which they have trusted in and been faithful. We also demand the Polish Nikon Service to consider following requests:

  • Standardizing and honoring  service procedures
  • Improvement of communication between the service and the client
  • Specified dates of warranty and post-warranty repairs and respecting them
  • Specified price list (unclear discrepancies in prices between the services in other European countries and in Poland)
  • Extension of warranty for products for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase, as it happens in other European countries
  • Introducing an additional payable warranty which can be bought through the whole period of the basic warranty (e.g. after the Nikon service confirms the condition of the equipment)
  • The delivery to and from the service at the producer’s expense

More and more people sign this appeal. We do not want the relationship between customers and Nikon go wrong because of the servicing issues. We want to be treated seriously! People who wrote their stories at PolishNikonService.com do not intend to cast aspersions upon the service. The service itself worked for such an opinion. In our anxiety about those relations, we are hoping to see a quick improvement in the service quality. We are also hoping this group appeal will be treated more seriously than requests made so far and will come up with a clear response from Nikon.

PolishNikonService.com has been translated to English so that our disapproval can be heard all over the world.
